Whale Sharks might have a scary name but they are gentle giants. As they filter their water for their lunch (microscopic creatures) you will be able to swim alongside them until your heart’s content. Sail to La Paz from Cabo for a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Your encounter with whale sharks begins when you cruise out of Cabo in comfortable, air-conditioned vehicles and drive through the beautiful desert on a brand-new highway to La Paz. Upon arrival, you will get ready for the swim of a lifetime. Local boat captains will take you just offshore into the beautiful Sea of Cortez where the whale sharks gather during the winter. Along the way, keep an eye out for other sea life, including humpback whales, rays and dolphins that share the waters with the whale sharks. Whale sharks are, as their name implies, whale-sized sharks. These gentle creatures migrate to the warm seas in search of food, swimming together in large pods as they gather plankton.
